Shared Parenting Scotland is dedicated to ensuring, as far as possible, that children maintain strong, loving relationships with both parents after separation and divorce. We provide practical support, guidance, and advocacy for parents and carers navigating the complexities of family separation, helping them achieve positive shared parenting arrangements that prioritise children’s well-being.
We work to improve Scotland’s family law system, advocating for reforms that promote shared parenting and reduce conflict in child contact disputes. We engage with policymakers, legal professionals, and other support organisations to ensure that parents receive the guidance they need to make decisions in their children’s best interests.
This is an exciting time to join Shared Parenting Scotland’s Board. We are strengthening our focus on children’s rights, expanding our support services, and increasing our influence on family law and policy. We are seeking a new trustee who shares our mission and is committed to improving outcomes for children and families.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Legal and Family Law Expertise – Knowledge of Scotland’s family law system.
- Charity Governance & Leadership – Understanding of good governance practices, financial oversight, and strategic planning in a third-sector organisation.
- Advocacy & Policy Influence – Experience in influencing legal, social, or political change, particularly in relation to children’s rights and family law reform.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
Closing date: Reply by close of business, Friday 21 March.
How to apply: Interested candidates should provide a covering letter outlining their interest and suitability for the role to info@sharedparenting.scot
