This Week’s Shared Parenting World Series Webinars

This week we have two webinars in our Shared Parenting World Series, one on Wednesday at 3pm and one on Thursday at 3pm.

The third webinar in our Shared Parenting World Series on Wednesday takes us to the Netherlands, where we’ll look at online systems designed to help separating parents reach agreements. Our guest for this webinar is Laura Kistemaker. Laura will describe Uitelkaar.nl the Dutch online divorce platform which helps you to make a parenting plan or a divorce plan, with or without mediation. She will also comment on the previous Dutch Rechtswijzer scheme and why it didn’t succeed despite early promise. Rosanne Cubitt, Head of Practice for Family Mediation and Relationship Counselling at the Scottish charity Relationships Scotland, will then provide a Scottish response. You can register for this webinar here.

The guest for our fourth webinar (Thursday) is Elizabeth Hyde who works in Toronto, Canada as a mediator and parenting coordinator.  Parenting Coordination is a child focused dispute resolution process for high conflict parents with a history of ongoing child disputes who are likely to need help implementing the terms of their parenting plans. It combines dispute assessment, conflict reduction, skills coaching, case management, mediation, parent education and arbitration.  Elizabeth will describe how parenting co-ordination works in Canada. Judith Higson, executive director and head of family law at Scullion Law will respond about “how might parenting co-ordination be used in Scotland?”.  Judith is an accredited family and child law specialist, accredited mediator and trained collaborative lawyer. You can register for this webinar here.
