Smashing Day at Dundee Kiltwalk

Our walkers at last Sunday’s Dundee Kiltwalk raised over £2,000 for Shared Parenting Scotland and had a great day in the sun into the bargain.

60 individuals donated in support of Miranda and her father, Louis, Mike Birkett and his family, and Shared Parenting Scotland’s John Forsyth.

John says, “The Kiltwalks are great fun. Sunshine isn’t always guaranteed but it’s great to have a chance to show who we are and tell folks about what we do in support of shared parenting. We always get people coming up to us to tell us of their own experience as children and of how they wish things could have been better. Fundraising is important but so is just being visible among the other campaigns and charities. And it is a good feeling for those who take part.”

The next Kiltwalk – the last of the year – is in Edinburgh on September 17th. If you would like to get out there and be part of the Shared Parenting Scotland team, please e mail kiltwalk@sharedparenting.scot.
