New Ways For Families training on show at The Gathering

Shared Parenting Scotland’s new training will be promoted in a free session on June 16th at the UK’s biggest voluntary sector event – The Gathering at Glasgow’s SEC.

Entitled “New ways to support separating parents through training and coaching”, the session will describe progress with our pilot of online training supported by one-to-one coaching and discuss other changes which could help parents and children to survive separation and benefit from shared parenting.

New Ways for Families® consists of 10 online modules and 3 one-to-one coaching sessions to reinforce and practice the communication and bargaining skills.

Claire Ross, the manager of the training pilot will report on how the Scottish pilot is developing and give some feedback from the learners who have completed the course.  One of the coaches will describe how the online learning is reinforced and the skills practised in the coaching sessions.

It’s free to attend The Gathering as a delegate and everyone’s welcome- voluntary sector staff, volunteers, board members and trustees from charities, social enterprises and community groups, politicians, academics and journalists, students and members of the public.
