First FNF Scotland AGM to be held in Glasgow

Families Need Fathers Scotland will hold its first AGM on Thursday 5th September at the Old Sheriff Court, 105 Brunswick Street Glasgow G1 1TF.  The event starts at 6pm, please indicate if you are coming by email or online booking.

The AGM will include a report on the activity and finances of the charity since January 2012 as well as the chance to discuss future activity.

We also have two speakers:

Gary Clapton lectures in social work at the University of Edinburgh and has recently published a new handbook challenging workers in social and health care to rethink their approach to fathers. He will talk about how fathers can and should be involved by social workers.

Emlyn Jones helped in establishing FNF Scotland. He will talk about his experience as a Mckenzie Friend in the family courts in England and Wales. Thesetalks will be followed by discussion on how contact issues raised by fathers are viewed by social workers and in the courts and what FNF Scotland can be doing to promote shared parenting.
