An online event on the evening of Friday 3rd May will celebrate the accomplishments of this international body since its foundation in 2014. This will include an overview of the history and scientific achievements of the ICSP, followed by live interviews with key founding members and a cross-country checkup on the development and state of shared parenting around the world.
The event will be held on Zoom, starting at 6pm (UK time) and can be watched using this link. The full programme for the event is here.
ICSP now has over a hundred members from countries across the world, bringing together researchers, legal professionals and campaigning/support organisations. The purpose is to disseminate and advance scientific knowledge on the needs and rights (“best interests”) of children whose parents are living apart, and to formulate evidence-based recommendations about the legal, judicial and practical implementation of shared parenting.
Reports will be presented about shared parenting in 24 countries from Belgium to the United States, including Ian Maxwell from Shared Parenting Scotland talking about developments in Scotland over the past decade.
