Following our previous post, we heard on Monday 25th August that the Guidance for Contact Centres has now been published. This publication is welcomed, although we remain concerned both at the delay and also about how centres will manage to catch up with the pent-up demand. As noted before, some Centres may still be unable to re-open because the premises they use are not available or does not comply with guidelines.
While understanding their frustration, we hope that parents waiting to see their children understand that Contact Centres are doing their best to restore services and cope with the backlog. Don’t blame the Centre staff for these delays, but do contact your MSPs to press the case for more funding and support to be allocated to Contact Centres.
