Children can still move between households

The exemption continues for children to move between households if their parents are separated, as noted in the new guidance on Christmas arrangements issued on Saturday 19th December.  “Children can move between their parents’ homes in different bubbles, if parents do not live in the same household. This includes supervised and unsupervised visits.”

Public Health Professor Linda Bauld reiterated this message in a Twitter exchange with Professor Jason Leitch, the Scottish Government’s National Clinical director.  She states that it is particularly important to reassure separated and divorced families about this point.

These movements  of children can continue as long as no-one in either household suffers with COVID, has COVID symptoms or is already isolating.  See the Parent Club website for further details about shared parenting during COVID
